For our client from Cracow, we are looking for a Senior QA Engineer.
Your new role
The role
Ensure software quality. Develop and execute test strategies, build regression and smoke suites, and collaborate with engineers on defect analysis, root-cause investigation, and test ability improvements. Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration, monitor test stability, and support release readiness by verifying that no critical or high-priority defects remain before each release.
Key tasks:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (Playwright)
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and coverage for web, API, and integration features
- Build and maintain regression and smoke test suites
- Verify REST APIs (functional, integration, non-functional)
- Record and report on testing metrics; ensure traceability in Jira/Confluence
- Support CI/CD integration, test reliability and release readiness
- Collaborate with developers on defect analysis, root cause, and testability
- Work closely with the product to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user personas.
- Partner with Support, Customer Success, and Knowledge to identify recurring issues
Interfaces with other areas: Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, Customer Support
What you'll need to succeed- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years in QA engineering
- Proven experience with User Interface test automation (Playwright)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API testing tools/practices
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS, browser dev tools)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- TypeScript and Python for test automation, code snippets, and API examples
- Good understanding of Generative AI technologies (LLMs, multimodal models, diffusion models).
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and user-centricity
- Proactive, self-disciplined and highly motivated with a well-organised work style.
- Excellent English (verbal and written).
