Senior AP Accountant

For our Client, an international retail company with a strong market position, we are looking for a Senior AP Accountant to join one of the finance teams in their Shared Service Center based in Gdańsk. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in processing cost invoices who wish to grow in a modern, stable environment and contribute to continuous process improvements within the AP function.

• minimum 4-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting area,
• good understanding of accounting processes, including cost or PO-related invoices,
• good command of English (minimum B2 level),
• strong working knowledge of SAP ERP or S/4HANA,
• accuracy, proactivity, and willingness to share knowledge within the team.
• posting and reviewing overhead cost invoices,
• verifying invoice accuracy (vendor data, VAT rates, GL accounts, cost centers),
• allocating costs to the correct departments, stores, or cost centers,
• preparing period-end postings and cost accruals/provisions,
• handling and controlling credit notes, internal invoices, and re-invoicing,
• collaborating with Procurement, Finance, Controlling, HR, IT, and Administration departments.
