Senior Software Engineer

Overview:

Certara accelerates medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology, and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Its clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across 62 countries.

A Senior Software Engineer works within the Engineering team to design, build, and test new products and features for the BaseCase platform

Responsibilities:

• Design and write specifications for new products and features.
• Implement new products and features, based on a specification, using appropriate technologies.
• Provide a mechanism for testing new products and features, preferably via automated tests.
• Provide ongoing maintenance for existing products and features.
• Provide support for other engineers through code reviews.
• Lead development projects, including management of timelines and resources

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of programming experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent, is preferred.
• Capable of developing software solutions with one or more programming languages, preferably

• Capable of working independently and with minimal supervision.
• Capable of effectively communicating and collaborating as part of a team.
• Capable of carrying out responsibilities, including project management, in an autonomous manner.
• An advanced level of written and spoken English.
