We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Team Leader for our Motion High Power organization. As a member of Research and Development (R&D) for Converters unit based in Krakow you will become a part of the global Motion organization, having real impact on how we are improving our products and shaping solutions portfolio.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead and guide R&D Engineers to deliver product development in line with backlog priorities and project plans, ensuring compliance with quality and reliability targets
- Contribute to technology strategy and roadmap planning, including involvement in product and system feature development
- Support R&D Management in planning and managing research and development activities, resources, and budgets within the functional area
- Drive competence development and accountability across the team
- Foster collaboration with local and global engineering teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
- Create and maintain a safe work environment for all
- Champion team wellbeing, personal growth, integrity, and adherence to ABB values
Qualifications for the role:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics and Drives, Control Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven leadership experience (minimum 5 years), ideally with exposure to embedded software development in an Agile environment (considered an advantage)
- Strong technical foundation – engineering mindset as an integral part of your professional approach
- Proactive and open-minded, with a strong willingness to learn and collaborate as a true team player
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and organizational
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Polish
- Business acumen and strategic thinking will be considered an additional asset
