For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates with 5+ years experience for the position of:
Data Engineer Location: Hybrid (Warsaw/Katowice)Type of contract: contract (B2B by Hays Poland)
Cooperation: long-term cooperation (3 years)
Rate: up to 170 PLN/h net + VAT
Start date: ASAP, max. within 1 month
English: C1
You’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about leveraging the latest technologies in data engineering. Your role will involve designing and implementing data pipelines tailored to specific business needs. You’ll collaborate closely with data analysts and UX researchers to deliver meaningful insights and intuitive user experiences.
Your daily tasks may include:
- Developing new features using Kedro and PySpark,
- Testing workflows in Apache Airflow,
- Deploying solutions on a Kubernetes-based internal platform,
- Optimizing data structures in long-term storage systems.
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, Spark, and Python,
- Know how to build CI/CD pipelines using Azure and GitLab,
- Have a strong background in designing and maintaining complex ETL workflows,
- Are comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MS-SQL, Hive) and object storage systems like S3,
- Can manage access controls, data assets, and code repositories (including code reviews and testing in Azure DevOps),
- Communicate clearly and can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of financial transaction data and analytics,
- Experience applying data science or advanced analytics in the financial sector.
