This includes multi-project structure, IAM and org-level policies, landing zones, shared VPC, and the infrastructure that product and delivery teams depend on.Write design documents and represent technical divisions in cross-team and leadership forums.
Platform Roadmap: Maintain and communicate a rolling 12-month Cloud CoE roadmap. Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, engineering demand, and technical debt. Present roadmap to Domain Manager and Senior Engineering Director for alignment.
Team Leadership & Development: Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Cloud Engineers. Set clear expectations, run regular 1:1s, conduct performance reviews, build individual growth plans, and create succession paths for tech leads.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for cloud-related topics across Platform Delivery, AI CoE, Security, FinOps, and acquired companies (Mondial Relay, Yodel). Run regular architecture reviews and decision forums. Escalate blockers to the Domain Leader.
Mentoring and Technical Leadership: Guiding and mentoring Associate Platform Engineers, providing technical expertise, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with development teams, operations teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the platform meets their requirements. This involves communicating technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences and building consensus around platform strategies.
