Step into a pivotal leadership role as the Engineering Manager and Site Leader for Beyond Identity's new office in , Poland. You will lead a team of talented engineers contributing to our cutting-edge Secure Access product, fundamentally designed for security with a zero shared secrets architecture.

Your focus will be on managing and scaling our core engineering initiatives within Secure Access, requiring you to bridge technical expertise with strategic foresight to advance secure, contextual access control and overall product development.

This is a hybrid role requiring some visits to our local office.

SITE LEADERSHIP IN POLAND:

As the Engineering Manager and Site Leader at our new office in Poland, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, growth, and operational success of the site. Beyond leading and mentoring the engineering team, this includes fostering Beyond Identity's culture, collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth office operations, and playing a crucial role in establishing and expanding our presence in the region.

You will be a central figure in building a thriving office environment and representing Beyond Identity within the local tech community.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers. This role may also involve managing individuals in other functions critical to product development and site operations, such as QA, design, or product management.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging innovation and ownership across disciplines.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans for your team members.
  • Oversee the architecture and development of components of Beyond Identity’s Secure Access product.
  • Drive the adoption of secure and scalable solutions, contributing to Zero Trust access models, continuous authentication, and contextual policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, QA, DevOps, and Security, to ensure successful product delivery and site operations.
  • Define and prioritize technical roadmaps and project plans in alignment with product and business goals.
  • Manage project progress and timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Act as a key technical voice in strategic discussions, bridging team execution and business needs.
  • Contribute to the company’s long-term strategy for IAM innovation and the growth of the Poland site.
  • Play a key role in establishing and scaling the Beyond Identity office in Poland, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in management roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, Python, or similar backend languages.
  • Experience with scalable, distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2).
  • Strong experience in applying engineering processes and practices in teams.
  • An understanding of security practices for IAM, including Zero Trust models, MFA, and continuous authentication.
  • Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, collaborating with product managers, designers, and security teams.
  • A track record of successfully managing complex, multi-team projects.
