Security Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced project management specialist, with a particular focus on Cyber Security Operations, to lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Cyber Security Operations initiatives within our organization. This role focuses on securing access to critical systems, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting business operations through effective identity lifecycle management. What Your Day Will Look Like
Project Management and Execution:
- Lead and oversee the comprehensive implementation of Cyber Security Operations projects, ensuring their timely, scope-compliant, and budget-friendly completion.
- Develop and manage the documentation necessary for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects according to established timelines. This involves tasks such as crafting and managing project plans and schedules, developing resource plans, managing budgets, reporting, meeting reporting requirements, maintaining risk and issue logs, applying change controls, managing cross-functional dependencies, and defining communication and change management requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance) to ensure alignment of business objectives with security requirements.
Cyber Security Operations:
- In this role, you will handle projects with a focus on the below. Past experience in these areas is a key differentiator.
- Threat Detection & Response: Rapid detection and containment of security incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Identification, prioritization, and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
- Threat Intelligence & Research: Collection and analysis of intelligence to identify threats.
- Detection Engineering & Hunting: Development of detection use cases and active hunting for malicious activities.
- Incident Response: Comprehensive investigation and mitigation of security incidents.
- Digital Brand Monitoring and Takedown: Protection against brand abuse, phishing, and unauthorized use of Aon’s digital assets.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure processes and policies align with internal security principles and industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and other relevant standards.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular status updates, leading expectations, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure alignment with the organization's overall cybersecurity strategy and architecture.
Vendor and Technology Management:
- Maintain relationships with solution vendors and external providers, ensuring all technologies meet the organization's security and compliance requirements.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Preferred possession of PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a strong emphasis on security.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and social skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritising multiple projects simultaneously.
